single tier shelving applications

The Metalrax single-tier shelving portfolio comprises a range of storage systems with a variety of features and benefits relevant to the individual needs of our clients. All ranges are adjustable, adaptable and strong enough to cope with most single-tier shelving situations from offices and libraries through to stock rooms and distribution warehouses.

The favoured shelving format for archive storage, garment racks, library shelving and office storage is single-tier. Static bays can be used without the need for steps, ladders or other mechanical access equipment.

Metabolt steel shelving and Metaclip rolled edge shelving have been the preferred shelving system for many years. Short-span shelving like QB2 and QBL or long-span shelving like Widespan and Speedrax have superseded them due to their ease of adjustment and speed of installation. With an extensive range of accessories, Metalrax’s single-tier shelving has been the first choice for document management systems, library, retail and warehouse shelving. When combined with plastic storage containers, single-tier shelving can be used for the storage of small parts typically in the automotive, engineering, electronic and material management industries.

As an ISO 9001 accredited company and a founder member of the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association (S.E.M.A.) Metalrax promote and adhere to the design standards set out in the Association's Interim Code of Practice for low-rise and high-rise, static steel shelving.
